Stop Press - Richmond Tuesdays are now fully subscribed. If you're name isn't on Marshall's list please contact him before turning up. If you are on his list but now cannot attend please let him know so that he can release your ticket to the waiting list. As the traffic in central London is forecast to be heavily disrupted around Pont Street during the Olympic Games I have reluctantly decided to cancel the dances on 31st July 2012 and 7th August 2012. However, it is still possible to dance at this time as Marshall Christie has again agreed to run dances in Richmond on these two nights. Dancing will be to recorded music in the Oddfellows Hall in Parkshot and is only 5 minutes walk from Richmond Station; there is ample free parking (after 6.30pm) in the Deer Park car park with access from the A316. Refreshments would be provided but not on the same scale as Pont Street: Marshall has “volunteered” a few locals who will provide a limited buffet – tea and cold drinks will also be available. Places are limited and can only be offered on a first come basis. If anyone is interested, they should contact either Marshall or Frances on 10th July, 17th July or 24th July at Pont Street or by email to marshall.christie@btopenworld.com or francc@btinternet.com – in any event they must know numbers by 25th July 2012. It would also be helpful to let Marshall Christie ( marshall.christie@btopenworld.com ) know on which dates you would be able to go to Richmond. The entrance price is only £5 for each Tuesday; this should be sufficient to cover the cost of the hall and refreshments.
